About

Orla O’Brien offers a bespoke service to clients, working with an extensive network of skilled craftsmen. She creates eye catching interiors with a strong sense of the owner’s personality. Each home is unique: there is no ‘identikit’ fix. Ultimately, her designs create comfortable and relaxing homes, whilst remaining thoroughly practical.

Having graduated from University College Dublin (BA Hons), Orla went on to complete an Interior Design Diploma at the Inchbald School of Design London, in 1992, after an introduction to the discipline during an 18month spell in Milan. Her experience includes luxury hotels as well as the residential sector. Since establishing her own design practice in 2000, the majority of Orla’s work has been by private referral and clients regularly return for second or third projects.

The success of every project relies on the personal relationship established with the client throughout the project process. The approach is very flexible and tailored to the individual client. Project sizes vary from a single bespoke piece of furniture to the luxurious refurbishment of an entire house. A complete interior design service, from initial concept to project completion, is provided.

Orla can work very closely with the client in the creative process from initial concepts through to final installation, or the client can choose to be less involved. The purchasing and installation process can be totally managed, saving time and trouble for the client.
